My Wire Mesh Compost Bin (blue tarp below is a free standing pile)

This last year I built two compost piles using the laid-back approach. One method was a standalone pile (the way I’ve always built them) and the other method (much easier to manage) I used was the Wire Mesh Compost Bin. From now on, I’m going to use the Wire Mesh Compost Bin! In saying that, it was wonderful that only after four months of NOT turning the bottom pile (blue tarp) I had rich dark compost loaded with lots of native earthworms.
